Lake Glenville, the highest and largest lake East of the Mississippi and the crown jewel of the Cashiers/Highlands Plateau. Rent a boat and cruise from Trillium’s docks to discover cascading waterfalls or a postcard sunset. Hike or boat to sandy banks that line the shores, beckoning you to stop for some relaxing sunning and swimming. Water skiers will revel in the thrills of gliding over clear, deep mountain waters, and fishing enthusiasts will enjoy the bounty of small and largemouth bass, walleye, trout, and bream.

The trout streams in the Blue Ridge, Appalachian & Great Smoky Mountains of North Carolina host the best fishing streams in the state, with over 3000 miles of stream throughout the region, not to mention our stocked trout stream. In most of these trout streams and rivers, you can catch all three types of trout; brook trout, rainbow trout, and brown trout.

Tuckasegee River ("The Tuck"): Excellent for all skill levels and known for high-density trout populations.

Cullasaja River: More technical, suitable for experienced anglers.

Chattooga & Whitewater Rivers: Offer prime, wild trout fishing opportunities.
